Professional Assessment

IPN / PRN & FLA Assessments

Tampa Bay Recovery Care provides comprehensive, confidential evaluations for licensed healthcare professionals enrolled in — or being referred to — Florida's major monitoring and recovery programs: the Intervention Project for Nurses (IPN), the Professionals Resource Network (PRN), and assessments required for Florida licensing authority (FLA) compliance.

These assessments are a critical component of a healthcare professional's recovery and reinstatement process. Our team approaches every evaluation with clinical rigor and deep respect for the sensitivity of your professional situation.

Clinical Evaluation

Pain Evaluation

Effective pain management begins with a thorough, honest evaluation. At Tampa Bay Recovery Care, our pain evaluations are conducted within the framework of addiction medicine, ensuring that pain treatment is both clinically effective and mindful of the risks of dependency and misuse.

We understand that chronic pain and substance use disorders frequently intersect. Our approach addresses both dimensions — providing patients with a complete clinical picture and a treatment pathway that prioritizes long-term health.

Our Evaluation Covers

  • Full medical history and previous pain treatment review
  • Assessment of pain type, origin, severity, and functional impact
  • Screening for co-occurring substance use or dependency concerns
  • Review of current and prior medication regimens
  • Development of a personalized, evidence-based treatment recommendation

Our Philosophy

  • Pain relief and recovery are not mutually exclusive — we treat both
  • Every treatment plan balances efficacy with responsible prescribing
  • Patients are treated with dignity, not suspicion
  • We coordinate with your existing care team whenever appropriate
Please note: Pain evaluations at Tampa Bay Recovery Care are conducted in the context of addiction medicine. We encourage patients to bring all current medical records and a list of medications to their first appointment.
